What the State of Ohio's $87 million in investments mean to your business

On December 15, 2006 the State of Ohio awarded $168 million in Third Frontier funding to nine technology projects in the state of Ohio. Of the $168 million, $87 million was awarded to universities and companies focused on electronics related projects including: the Wright Center Sensor Systems Engineering Center (WCSSE) at Cleveland State University, the Institute for the Development and Commercialization of Advanced Sensor Technology (IDCAST) at the University of Dayton, and the Photovoltaics Innovation and Commercialization Center at the University of Toledo. Companies such as GraftTech International in Parma and Kent Displays in Kent were also awarded funding for electronics based research and product commercialization.
