The Cuyahoga Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Coalition is seeking Tech Volunteers !
WHAT: We need your help setting up and installing software at the Cuyahoga EITC Coalition’s free tax preparation sites. The Cuyahoga EITC Coalition promotes free and fair tax preparation services for middle and low-income filers. EITC is an income tax benefit program designed to improve the financial situation of families with low-to-moderate earned incomes who work but earn low wages. Depending on earnings and family size, low-income tax-filers can get up to $4,400 back from the federal government and boost their family’s income by as much as 40%.

TIME COMMITMENT: A total of 20 hours – 10 hours in January and another 10 between the months of February and April ‘on-call’. The schedule is very flexible.
WHAT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED? You do not need to be a tax expert or a system administrator. We need volunteers with some experience in Windows XP, printer sharing, file sharing, and software installation. Other tech skills welcome as well.
